Hi there!

This site is dedicated to my unrelenting lifelong affection for airport terminals! (It's functional on mobile, but it looks a little weird.)

It’s difficult to know where to start explaining my feelings, but I’ve been drawn to airports for as long as I can remember. I think most people find them unremarkably pleasant at best and a circle of hell at worst. I’m not immune to the downsides myself: fighting through the crowds, waiting in the agonizing TSA line, rushing to the gate with seconds to spare.

That being said, just being in one, or even looking at a picture, makes me feel invigorated. I love “the airport” the way people love “the mountains”, “the forest”, “the sea”. There’s a deep, essential beauty to the way they look through my eyes, from modest, unremarkable terminals to massive, bustling hubs. Airports are an utterly precise consequence of our modern world, they're fascinating spaces on an artistic and aesthetic level, they're nostalgia and liminality and sonder incarnate. I just think they're neat!

The primary goal of this site is to log my thoughts about various airport terminals and airport-related content!
